All our produce is here and ready!  Now is the time to start freezing sweet corn, green peppers,green beans, and blueberries.  Tomatoes will be ready for canning and freezing by mid-Sept.

Recipe of the Month

It is back to school time!  Hard to believe the summer has flown by so quickly!  Now that the weather and our schedules are changing, how about something quick and easy for dinner tonight.

Chicken Tortellini

2- 9oz pkgs of cheese tortellini

4 cups of broccoli florets

1 14.5oz can of italian style diced tomatoes

1/2 - 10oz jar of tomato pesto

1lb of frozen grilled chicken

In a large dutch oven type pan, cook the tortellini according to the package instructions.  Add the broccoli florets to the tortellini during the last 3 mins of cooking.  Drain.  Return the tortellini and broccoli to the pan adding the tomatoes,pesto and chicken.  Cook till just heated and serve with a lettuce salad.
